Race Overview
The Nittany Valley Half-Marathon is a scenic 13.1-mile road race through State College and the Nittany Valley.
The course begins and ends on the Penn State campus at the Snider Ag Arena, touring rolling countryside, scenic Spring Creek,
and the charming village of Houserville.

Start Time: 10:00 AM
Timing: All runners will receive chip-timed bibs for accurate race results.
Chip-timed (your official time begins when you cross the start line)
Course Marking: Clearly marked with signage and supported by volunteers

Past participants are encouraged to review the map, as the course includes a few changes from previous years. In the event of snow or unsafe conditions, the alternate route may be used.
Runners must reach the entrance to Stearns Crossing by 12:30 PM.
The course closes at 2:00 PM. All runners must complete the course within 4 hours.

Portions of the course are open to traffic, and all runners must follow Pennsylvania road laws:
Stay on the shoulder
Remain alert to vehicles and other road users
Follow instructions from volunteers and race staff
For safety, the following are not permitted:
Bicycles (except approved race volunteers)
Skateboards, roller skates, or inline skates
Strollers or baby joggers
Animals
Personal music players
